The Broward Board of Rabbis
|
Broward County's Rabbinic Community
|
We are Broward County's rabbinic community.
A wonderfully diverse group of rabbis, coming from different backgrounds, different rabbinic seminaries, different movements, we are committed to strengthening the Jewish community of Broward County. Our board consists of Reform, Reconstructionist, Conservative, and Orthodox rabbis. We gather together on a regular basis to learn from each other and work together to help lead one of the largest Jewish communities in the country.
Our members are ordained by accredited, internationally recognized rabbinical institutions. Our membership committee relies upon the standards and practices established by the Rabbinical Assembly, the Reconstructionist Rabbinical Association, the Rabbinical Council of America, and the Central Conference of American Rabbis when it comes to determining whether or not a candidate is eligible to become a member of our organization. Members of the Broward County Board of Rabbis are expected to uphold the ethics, values, and morals that form the foundation of our tradition.
When you reach out to one of our members, you will receive excellent rabbinic counsel.
Our members are the spiritual leaders of Broward's finest synagogues, the directors of vital social service agencies, compassionate chaplains, dynamic teachers, and trusted counselors. Our members are here for you. We consider it an honor and a privelege to serve the Jewish community of Broward County. We look forward to getting to know you.
As the rabbinic community of Broward County, we work closely with the
United Jewish Community of Broward County and its related affiliate agencies whose hard work adds so much to our community.
There are many wonderful things going on in Broward's Jewish community. As your local rabbis, we invite you to get involved in the community. Join a synagogue. Volunteer at a local Jewish agency. Take advantage of the many Jewish educational, cultural, and social events going on right in your neighborhood. Get involved. Make a difference. Help us strengthen this wonderful community.
You can reach the Board of Rabbis by e-mailing us at rabbi@browardboardofrabbis.org or call us at 954-472-3600. You may also choose to seek the guidance of one of our members for a personal matter or lifecycle event. Each member's contact information is listed below.
